The Pokémon Company revealed that Dual Fusion, the upcoming major expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, is scheduled for release on Oct. 28 at 6:00 p.m. This update introduces dual-type cards to the mobile title, a feature previously established in the physical card game.
Dual-type cards allow a single Pokémon to possess two types simultaneously, such as Mega Mewtwo X ex, which functions as both Psychic and Fighting. This mechanic is intended to facilitate new strategic possibilities for players.
To mark the second anniversary, a campaign running from the expansion's launch until Dec. 14 will provide players with a ticket for a booster pack containing a guaranteed two-star card. Additionally, players can rent six Dual Fusion decks beginning Dec. 15.
Further events include the Pika Pika! Pikachu Missions starting Oct. 20, 2026, offering an immersive Pikachu ex card, and the Special Pack: First Partners event beginning Oct. 31. The latter utilizes weekly stamina to provide cards featuring partner Pokémon from nine regions.
