Pearl Abyss has unveiled a six-minute trailer for Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown, a new expansion for the open-world title. The content is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026, at 3PM PT / 6PM ET.
The expansion introduces expanded narratives for characters Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka. Players can engage in shipbuilding to traverse the Great Ocean of Pywel, explore underwater ruins, and establish strongholds. Additionally, the update adds business management mechanics, allowing users to lease facilities and oversee operations to generate profits.
Social and customization features are also central to the update. Players can build romantic relationships, marry specific characters, and invite companions to the Greymane Camp. Housing systems have been overhauled to allow for structural design, including wall and window placement, alongside the ability to decorate liberated castles. Combat-focused players can participate in a new boss rush mode.
Charting the Unknown will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store for $24.99. Pre-orders are currently open, with early purchasers receiving the Charter’s Diving Set and Charter’s Light Diving Set.
