Key information

Developer and publisher YukimiSoft has announced that the PC-98 inspired yuri visual novel if you stay will be released on October 22. The title will be available for free on PC via Steam and itch.io.

The game features 16-bit pixel art reminiscent of the PC-98 era, rendered at modern resolutions, alongside a soundtrack designed to emulate the Yamaha YM2608 sound chip. The developers cite classic titles such as Kakyuusei, DokiDoki Vacation, and the Can Can Bunny series as primary influences.

Set in the winter of 1999, the story follows Fumiko, a former student council president who has lost her future and social standing after being outed. As she prepares to leave her hometown for Tokyo, she receives a call from her girlfriend, Mika, requesting one final meeting. Players must navigate this last date and choose whether to stay together or part ways, with choices leading to multiple endings.

According to a development blog post from June, production on the project began around September 2025. The developers estimate that a single playthrough will take approximately 5 hours to complete.
