More than 200 packages containing graded trading cards were stolen from a FedEx truck parked outside the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) headquarters in Santa Ana, California. According to a report by The Athletic, the incident occurred last week while the items were being returned to their owners.

PSA reported to the Santa Ana Police Department that the stolen shipment has an approximate value exceeding $963,000. This figure may rise as the company continues to verify the specific contents of the missing packages.

Collectors Holdings, the parent company of PSA, is collaborating with law enforcement and FedEx. To mitigate the risk of resale, the company has deactivated the unique certification numbers for all identified stolen cards and notified marketplace partners to monitor for these rare, serialized items.

Affected customers are being contacted regarding compensation based on fair market value, capped at the maximum insured amount selected prior to grading. YouTuber Sky-B Cards, who reported losing 104 cards, noted they had insured their order for $156,000. Meanwhile, collector Boston Card Hunter is compiling a list of stolen serialized cards to assist in identification efforts.
