Nintendo has released a new V2 model of the Switch 2 console. Despite this hardware revision, the device retains the original LCD panel, failing to address persistent ghosting issues caused by the screen's slow response time.

A teardown performed by technician @Modyfikator89 reveals that the updated console features a revised motherboard, a different fan, and a battery designed for easier user replacement. However, core specifications remain unchanged, including the NVIDIA chip and 12GB of RAM.

While rumors previously suggested Nintendo might incorporate Sharp-manufactured screens to improve display speed, the unit analyzed lacked this upgrade. It remains unconfirmed if other units might feature different panels, as no evidence currently supports the theory of a hardware lottery.

This V2 version focuses solely on manufacturing and maintenance improvements rather than performance, graphics, or cooling enhancements. Consequently, owners of the initial Switch 2 model have no functional reason to upgrade to this latest iteration.
