Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake that serves as a direct tribute to the original 1998 commercial for the N64 title. The promotional video mirrors specific shots and phrasing from the classic advertisement, including the encounter between Link and Ganondorf on horseback.

The updated trailer incorporates nostalgic language such as asking viewers if they will flee or fight. While the recreation captures the spirit of the original, it notably omits the custom-recorded version of the track Riddle of Steel / Riders of Doom from the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian due to music rights.

Fan reaction to the trailer has been largely positive, with many expressing excitement and nostalgia for the original game. Marketing efforts for the remake have intensified recently, including the release of Japanese television spots that showcase previously unseen characters like Dark Link.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled to launch as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive on November 5, 2026. Ahead of the release, previews have begun to highlight the visual and mechanical updates compared to the original masterpiece.
