Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake that serves as a direct tribute to the original 1998 N64 commercial. The promotional video mirrors classic shots, including Link encountering Ganondorf on horseback, while utilizing similar phrasing like "Willst thou flee? Or Fight?" to evoke nostalgia.
While the recreation captures the spirit of the original advertisement, it notably excludes the custom-recorded "Riddle of Steel / Riders of Doom" track from the 1982 film Conan the Barbarian due to music rights limitations.
Public reaction to the trailer has been enthusiastic, with fans expressing excitement on social media. Beyond this homage, Nintendo has increased marketing efforts with additional Japanese TV spots that provide glimpses of characters such as Dark Link.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is scheduled for release on November 5, 2026, as a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. Detailed insights regarding the title's gameplay and comparisons to the original masterpiece are currently available through hands-on previews.
