As Chapter 7 Season 4 nears its conclusion, speculation regarding the next Fortnite mini-season has shifted. While many fans anticipated a collaboration with the manga series One Piece following the appearance of a pirate chest on the island, recent promotional materials suggest a broader, generic anime theme instead.
Promotional posters discovered in Madrid on Oct. 20 feature original, cell-shaded characters rather than established One Piece figures. One advertisement displays a black-haired character alongside a treasure map, while another showcases a turquoise-haired character and the phrase "Join the hunt." Both posters prominently display the Fortnite pirate llama logo.
The absence of recognizable characters from Eiichiro Oda's series indicates that a full-scale crossover is less likely than previously hoped. Observers suggest the upcoming content may mirror the pirate-themed Chapter 1 Season 8, potentially serving as a general pirate season rather than a branded event.
The current Fortnitemares event concludes on Nov. 1, marking the transition into the mini-season. While some fans may view this as a disappointment compared to the previous year's Simpsons-themed event, the possibility of future One Piece content remains unconfirmed.
