Tencent and Bandai Namco have officially confirmed the global launch of Naruto Mobile, the expansive action and fighting game based on Masashi Kishimoto's work. After being restricted to the Chinese market for a decade, the title is set to expand internationally, marking a significant milestone for the project.
Developed by MoreFun Studios, the game functions as a free-to-play experience for iOS and Android devices. It features real-time combat and character collection mechanics, allowing players to utilize a wide range of abilities. The game is noted for its high-quality cinematics that replicate key moments from the anime and manga, with some scenes described as superior to the original animation.
While a specific release date remains unannounced, further details are expected during the Jump Festa 2027 event, scheduled for December 19 to 20. The international distribution will be handled by Bandai Namco Entertainment, following the game's original 2016 debut in China.
This global expansion is part of a broader initiative under Project Rasengan to revitalize the franchise. Alongside the game's release, the project includes a new anime titled Naruto x Ninku and a new manga, Naruto: Shadow Rising, both featuring the involvement of Masashi Kishimoto.
