Key information
Riot Games is preparing a mid-scope update for the League of Legends champion Milio, scheduled for the 26.22 patch. The developer aims to shift the champion's power profile by reducing early-game dominance while enhancing late-game scaling.
The update removes the reflection effect from the W skill, 'Cozy Campfire'. Instead of returning enemy projectiles, the new version will emit a wave that destroys incoming projectiles while granting shields and movement speed to Milio and his allies. The ability will retain a counter-attack feature that deals damage to enemies.
Additional adjustments target Milio's overall combat mechanics. Early-game durability and the damage from the passive, 'Fired Up!', are being reduced, while growth stats for health and armor are increased. Furthermore, the Q skill projectile speed is lowered to improve counterplay, and the E skill, 'Warm Hugs', will now scale its root duration based on the distance from the target.
Riot Games noted that while Milio maintained a consistent pick rate, high-level players found the champion difficult to challenge. By reducing the impact of the W skill, the developers intend to create a more balanced environment where opponents can reasonably respond to Milio's actions while allowing the champion to remain effective in late-game scenarios.
