Key information

Starting October 19, the Saros: Zenith update is available for all Saros players at no additional cost. Housemarque designed this content to provide new objectives for experienced players while making the game's intense bullet-hell action more accessible to newcomers.

The update introduces several accessibility and control options. A new "Slow Game" feature allows players to reduce projectile speed during combat, either manually or automatically, to improve reaction times. Additionally, an "Auto-fire" setting enables weapons to shoot automatically when aiming, though manual reloading remains required to maintain skill-based gameplay. These join existing button remapping and motion sensor aiming options.

The Carcosian Modifiers system has been expanded with 10 new protection modifiers to assist players and 10 new challenge modifiers to increase difficulty. These are integrated into "Ecliptic Strata," a new New Game+ mode where players must meet a minimum modifier threshold to progress. Successfully completing these challenges earns players a glowing crown and access to 12 collectible "visions" that reveal game lore.

Finally, the "Supreme Lance" mode offers a time-attack training simulation where players defeat bosses to compete on global leaderboards. This mode includes three series: "Incursion," "Ascension," and "Totality," the latter featuring all eight bosses in succession. Participation requires an internet connection and a PlayStation account.
