Key information

Bohemia Interactive and developer Airo Games have launched a playable demo for the 2.5D action-adventure title Knights of the Fall on Steam. Alongside the demo, a new trailer provides a glimpse into the game's world, which is set in a reality devastated by an interdimensional invasion.

The narrative begins in 1947 when the secret agency NASS starts researching mysterious signals from space. By 1986, the activation of a zero-point energy reactor opens a portal to another dimension, allowing entities known as Devourers to threaten Earth. Players control the protagonist, Hal, who works with former NASS researcher Yoshida to uncover the truth behind these events.

Gameplay centers on Japanese-inspired combat using swords, guns, and shuriken, enhanced by the ability to manipulate gravity and time. Players can pull enemies toward them for strikes or use environmental manipulation to manage multiple foes. These powers also facilitate exploration by creating platforms or clearing obstacles, all rendered through a blend of hand-drawn art and Unreal Engine 3D graphics.

The current demo allows users to experience the game's unique mechanics and visual style. While the title is currently listed as supporting only English, interested players can download the demo on Steam and add the game to their wishlists for future updates.
