CD PROJEKT RED, Studio TRIGGER, and Netflix have officially launched Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. All ten episodes of this follow-up series are currently available for streaming on the platform, arriving four years after the original production.
The standalone series introduces a fresh cast, focusing on the interconnected lives of a veteran edgerunner, a cinephile, a delinquent, and a netrunner. Directed by Kai Ikarashi, the show explores themes of vengeance and redemption within the violent setting of Night City.
Production features returning talent such as showrunner and writer Bartosz Sztybor, alongside Lead Character Designer Kanno Ichigo. The creative team aims to provide a raw, emotional narrative that expands upon the established dark future.
Coinciding with the anime release, a final update for Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled for October 22, 2026. This patch will arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned later. Further information is expected during a REDstreams broadcast on October 21st at 5 PM CEST.
