The upcoming Once Human expansion, Isles of Abyss, brings fresh content including new Morphed Deviations and an entirely new entity. These Morphed variants are unique collectibles tied specifically to seasonal events and major game updates, while continuing to function as helpful companions for combat, crafting, and exploration tasks.
The expansion introduces a new Deviation named Duet, which possesses abilities designed to interact with the island's weather mechanics. Unlike the Morphed variants, Duet is a distinct addition to the game's roster, developed by Starry Studio to expand the current collection of entities available to players.
Players can attempt to acquire Duet by defeating The Sunken Lord, the signature boss encounter for the Isles of Abyss scenario. This challenge becomes accessible during the second phase of the scenario, which lasts approximately 11 days. The availability of this boss fight is contingent upon the server's overall purification progress.
Obtaining Duet is not a guaranteed reward, as players must rely on a drop chance during the boss encounter. The first phase of the scenario typically spans five to ten days, though this duration can be shortened based on how quickly the server completes its purification objectives.
