Melbourne-based developer House House has officially announced that its upcoming cooperative title, Big Walk, will not be released on the Xbox platform. The studio stated this decision aligns with the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, which identifies Microsoft and its gaming division as priority boycott targets.

The developers acknowledged that restricting the game from Xbox contradicts their goal of enabling friends to play together. While expressing personal disappointment, the team stated they intend to maintain this boycott until Microsoft and Xbox are no longer designated as targets by the BDS movement, emphasizing their belief in the power of collective action.

House House is part of a broader trend of developers distancing themselves from Microsoft. Other examples include Ice Water, which removed Tenderfoot Tactics from the platform, and Dan Dilorio, who requested that players avoid purchasing Luck be a Landlord on Xbox while pledging $10,000 to The Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

The BDS movement began in April 2025, targeting Microsoft over its business relationship with the Israel Ministry of Defence. Although Microsoft conducted an internal review in May 2025 regarding its provision of cloud and AI services, the company maintained it found no evidence that its technologies were used to harm individuals in the Gaza conflict.
