Key information
Hololive production announced on October 19 that VTuber Houshou Marine will withdraw from the second day of the "hololive RECORDS MUSIC STAGE 2027" concert, scheduled for January 10, 2027. The decision follows medical advice regarding her vocal cord nodules, a condition she previously experienced in 2021. Management and Marine determined that she could not perform at a professional standard without risking further injury.
Marine expressed deep regret over missing the event, noting that she had already begun rehearsals. She explained that the decision to announce her absence now was intended to minimize inconvenience for fans who had already purchased tickets. She is currently undergoing vocal rehabilitation and medical treatment, with doctors advising her to limit singing and incorporate frequent rest periods.
Watame Tsunomaki has been selected to replace Marine for the performance. Tsunomaki accepted the role, promising to give her best effort and encouraging fans to support her. Marine praised Tsunomaki’s reliability and stage presence, while Tsunomaki jokingly offered to perform "strange dances" to cheer Marine up during her recovery.
The two-day music festival will take place at K Arena Yokohama on January 9 and 10, 2027. This event celebrates the one-year anniversary of the hololive RECORDS label, which was established in July 2025. While Marine will miss this specific appearance, she remains committed to her recovery and future performances.
