Sensor Tower reports that Grand Theft Auto 6 has accumulated approximately 6.45 million digital pre-orders globally. These sales represent an estimated $630 million in net revenue. The latest weekly data indicates an increase of 370,000 units since October 13.
Platform distribution shows PlayStation capturing 74% of the total, accounting for 4.80 million copies and $468 million. Conversely, Xbox accounts for 1.66 million copies, totaling $162 million in revenue. These figures are third-party estimates and remain unconfirmed by Take-Two.
According to Sensor Tower, the majority of consumers are purchasing the $100 Ultimate Edition. In the United States, digital pre-order volume for the title is currently 148% higher than that of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at a comparable pre-launch stage.
The game is scheduled for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. While PlayStation has maintained a lead since June, analysts note that Xbox hardware sales in the US are at an all-time low, potentially impacting its share.
