Griffin Gaming Partners has partnered with Entertainment 360 to launch a new venture titled HITpoint Entertainment. This company aims to facilitate the adaptation of video game intellectual properties into film and television projects.
The firm intends to pair game properties with suitable filmmakers and studio partners. By maintaining close involvement from game creators throughout the development and production phases, the company seeks to align incentives and provide access to industry talent.
The initiative leverages the expertise of Griffin co-founder Peter Levin, who previously invested in the Fallout series, and Entertainment 360, which represents clients working on the live-action Legend of Zelda adaptation.
HITpoint plans to target both major franchises and independent titles. The latter will utilize Griffin's $100 million indie fund, which has already supported fifteen titles and six unannounced projects, to explore potential expansions into other media formats.
