Developer Game Freak has officially announced that the post-launch update cycle for its action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, is concluding. This decision arrives just over two months following the title's initial release.
The studio confirmed via X that the final patch for this current phase of development is scheduled for Oct. 19. While the announcement avoids explicitly stating that all support is terminated, the developer indicated that frequent updates will cease, advising players to utilize the official support form for future feedback.
Polygon's review noted that while the game features impressive action and deep RPG systems, its core identity suffers from unrefined mechanics derived from other titles. The reviewer further criticized the game for prioritizing a sense of prestige over emotional vulnerability.
Following this shift, Game Freak is focusing on its next major project, Pokémon Winds and Waves. Scheduled for a 2027 release, these titles will be exclusive to the Switch 2 and feature ocean exploration as a central gameplay element.
