Developer Eschatology Entertainment and publisher 4Divinity have announced that their upcoming action game, Guns of Eschaton, is scheduled for release on December 8.
The title is described as a soulslike first-person shooter set in a post-apocalyptic Western world designed by art director Viktor Antonov. Players navigate a landscape filled with false saints and collapsed history, utilizing a Colt pistol and their own survival instincts to face monstrous threats.
Combat requires careful resource management, as every bullet counts and players must learn to master the unique handling of each firearm. Success depends on identifying enemy weaknesses, utilizing specific ammunition types, parrying, dashing, and employing mystical abilities rather than relying on traditional shooter reflexes.
The game supports cooperative play for those who find the journey too difficult to undertake alone. A new promotional video has been released to showcase the game's environments, diverse enemy designs, and core gameplay systems.
