Sports Interactive has announced an industry-first initiative for Football Manager 27, allowing users to play the title for free for five full days on PC and Mac. This trial period begins on 29th October at 6pm GMT and concludes on 3rd November.
The developer confirmed that all game modes will be accessible during this window. Following the trial, a paid launch preview period commences for those who pre-order the game, which officially releases on 10th November. Pre-orders open alongside the free period and include a 10 percent discount.
The upcoming release aims to address criticism following the previous entry, FM26, which holds a 'Mostly Negative' Steam user score. The studio promises an improved, more intuitive user interface and new features like Tactical Tweaks, which supplement the returning touchline shouts system.
Players can carry their save files across the trial, the launch preview, and the final game, with this functionality also extending to Xbox Game Pass users. These changes follow the transition to the Unity engine, which previously resulted in the removal of several classic features.
