Square Enix has launched a dedicated website for "Keybound Brawler," a new typing game arriving within the online RPG Final Fantasy XIV. The feature includes a collaboration stage with the Final Fantasy VII Remake series, scheduled to begin on October 28, 2026, at approximately 17:00.
Keybound Brawler is a multiplayer activity located in the Manderville Gold Saucer, supporting up to four players simultaneously. Participants must rapidly type keywords to defeat enemies and compete for high scores. The game requires a physical keyboard, as gamepads and software keyboards are not supported.
To participate, players must reach level 15 with any class and complete the "It Could Happen to You" quest to unlock the Gold Saucer. Access to the collaboration content is granted by completing the event quest "Hit, Shoot, and Protect!" provided by a cat-shaped magical doll.
Playing the collaboration stage rewards users with Manderville Gold Saucer Credits (MGC). These can be exchanged for items such as the Avalanche Brawler tops, Avalanche Leader vests, Mammet Barrett, and orchestrion rolls. MGC collection and item exchanges are limited to the event duration, which runs until maintenance for patch 8.0 begins, though the content will return periodically.
