Publisher Advertise Here Games has announced that the psychological horror title Fathoms is scheduled for release on March 2, 2027. A demo version of the PC game is currently available for players to experience.
The narrative-driven game follows a protagonist who wins a lottery and moves to a deep-sea city named Fathoms to escape a global crisis on the surface. Players must survive for 24 days as their new life with their spouse descends into a nightmare.
Gameplay involves identifying anomalies within the apartment, such as monsters appearing in corners, strange breathing sounds, or the spouse displaying twisted limbs. Players must use a syringe of the deep-sea drug Tiefenmedikament if an anomaly is detected or exit through the front door if the environment remains normal.
The experience features over 100 distinct anomalies that manifest across three levels of increasing severity. The overarching story is structured into three acts, challenging the player to distinguish between genuine supernatural occurrences and potential side effects of their medication.
