Developer WeirdCo has officially announced Edgerunners: Burn Bright, the second set and first expansion for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game. Scheduled for a spring 2027 launch, the expansion integrates characters, weapons, and iconic scenes from the Netflix anime series into the tabletop experience.
The expansion features new card illustrations, including Caught in the Crossfire and Adam Smasher — Story Ends Here. The former, illustrated by Studio Grafit, depicts the tragic highway crash involving Gloria Martinez, while the latter, by Erik Ly, showcases the cyborg Adam Smasher amidst battlefield wreckage.
While specific card mechanics remain unconfirmed, WeirdCo stated that Burn Bright will introduce new strategies, foil and textured treatments, and a forthcoming chase rarity. Co-founder Elliot Cook noted that the Edgerunners content allows the team to evolve the game both mechanically and artistically.
Edgerunners: Burn Bright will be available in English and French in spring 2027, with Chinese language support arriving later. Products including booster packs and prerelease kits will be sold through specialist hobby stores, with tournaments scheduled one week prior to the retail release.
