Key information

The MMORPG EVE Online is set to launch its next expansion, Fractured Skies, which serves as the second chapter in the three-part Theatres of War saga. This update aims to escalate galactic conflict by introducing new vessels and military campaigns designed to encourage player engagement in large-scale combat.

The expansion adds four mobile navy battlecruisers that prioritize firepower over durability. Additionally, nine synchronizer rig sets are being introduced, which provide bonuses when players equip modules matching their specific faction. Each of the four main factions will also receive a unique military campaign running through January.

To support new pilots, the update includes 13 pre-outfitted AIR Academy ships for combat, mining, and exploration, though these are restricted to the PvP-free Exordium starter zone. Early-game improvements also feature updated security mission clarity and new achievements.

Looking ahead to 2027, January will host an Empire Showdown, while February introduces a conquest feature for factional warfare featuring shared objectives. Furthermore, the EVE Vanguard FPS module will transition to a 24/7 paid alpha phase to integrate with these conquest mechanics.
