Key information

Developer Jacob Jazz, known for titles like FEAR FA 98 and Baobabs Mausoleum, has unveiled his latest project, TETRIC. This new game offers a dark, horror-themed interpretation of the classic puzzle game Tetris and is scheduled for release on Steam on October 27.

TETRIC incorporates tactical card mechanics and magic, requiring players to battle enemy blocks. Players must manage card trading to fund their journey while assisting a character named Don Fëmur in saving the kingdom of Calaberia. The game features a distinct retro aesthetic with detailed, heavy graphics.

The game includes unique artistic contributions from the developer's father, who provided illustrations for creatures and objects in an eighties fantasy style. Additionally, the developer notes that only the player who secures the top spot on the global online leaderboard will gain access to the mysterious floor 666.

A playable demo for TETRIC is currently available as part of the Steam Next Fest, which concludes on October 26 at 19:00 Spanish time. The full game will launch on Steam shortly after the event concludes.
