Key information

Developer ProjectAlive has launched the Steam store page and released a new trailer for Ebbtide, a single-player survival strategy game set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. Players command a mobile unit known as TF-1 Ark, operating from an aircraft carrier to rescue survivors and combat undead threats across global locations, starting with Los Angeles.

The game features a seamless transition between a strategic map and 3D battlefields. Players can monitor unit movements on a map based on real-world geography and zoom directly into 3D pixel-art environments to observe or influence combat. This system allows for both high-level tactical planning and granular control over individual engagements.

Combat mechanics involve managing infantry squads alongside vehicles like tanks, armored cars, and helicopters, with options for requesting air support. While the core gameplay is a real-time strategy experience, players can also directly control units. The game challenges users to manage thousands of pixelated zombies swarming bases and vehicles, requiring careful decision-making regarding unit deployment and battlefield tactics.

Although a specific release date for Ebbtide on PC and Mac remains unannounced, the developers have confirmed that the game will support Japanese subtitles and interface. Interested players are encouraged to add the title to their Steam wishlist to receive future updates.
