Aspyr and Universal are collaborating to release DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered on November 10. This title serves as a modern reconstruction of the 2004 action-adventure game based on the DreamWorks Animation film.
The updated version features 4K resolution, improved textures, and an enhanced user interface. Players can now utilize a new Photo Mode and a Cheats Menu, which allows users to bypass sections that were previously difficult.
Gameplay mechanics include the ability to swap characters on the fly to solve environmental puzzles and defeat bosses. A significant addition is the support for up to four-player co-op, which functions through couch play, online, or a hybrid of both.
The game is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, as well as PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are currently available for $26.99, reflecting a 10% discount from the standard $29.99 price, though PlayStation 5 users require a PlayStation Plus subscription to access this deal.
