Pearl Abyss has announced that the first DLC for the action-adventure game Crimson Desert Enhanced Edition, titled Unknown Journey, will launch globally on October 30. The expansion will be available simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The narrative follows protagonists Cliff, Demian, and Omka as they embark on individual journeys of self-discovery following the defense of the Paweł continent. Players will encounter new characters and explore the ocean, utilizing a new ship-building feature to navigate, conquer islands, and establish outposts. Additionally, players can craft diving suits to explore underwater ruins and search for sunken treasures.
Social mechanics are expanding, allowing the three protagonists to build trust with specific characters, eventually leading to romantic relationships or marriage. These companions can then visit the Gray Mane camp. Furthermore, players can now manage liberated fortresses by leasing facilities and setting business strategies to accumulate wealth, while the home system now allows for extensive customization of interior layouts and architectural structures.
Combat updates include new challenges against powerful bosses throughout the Paweł continent. Pre-orders are currently open across all platforms, offering exclusive diving suit outfits for Cliff, Omka, and Demian as digital incentives for early purchasers.
