Sega has released the first story trailer for Stranger Than Heaven, which is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027. This title follows the life of protagonist Makoto Daito across five distinct eras and cities between 1915 and 1965.
The Kokura chapter trailer depicts Daito fleeing discrimination in the United States by stowing away on a merchant vessel. During this journey, he meets his future best friend, Yu Mashiro. Upon arriving in Japan, the pair faces harsh realities that shape Daito's path toward becoming an agent.
The narrative introduces key figures like the Kurogane Town boss, Yashima, who aids the struggling Daito, and the aggressive subordinate of a rival leader, Oki, who targets Daito as he gains prominence.
Stranger Than Heaven will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, and PC via Steam. Pre-ordering either the physical or digital version grants the in-game DLC weapon Dagger: Kagekiri. A Collector's Edition is also listed at 3,590 TWD in Taiwan and 928 HKD in Hong Kong.
