Independent developer Yagni Lab released the PC simulation game Digging Dinosaur Museum on Steam today, October 16, 2026. The title is priced at 880 yen including tax, with a 15 percent discount available until October 23.
Players use a pickaxe to excavate fossils and ores from terrain that changes dynamically as they dig. There are no set paths, allowing users to explore deep underground at their own discretion.
The game features 10 skeletons, including Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Spinosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Mammoth. Each skeleton consists of 28 to 35 parts, which players assemble at a museum. Completing all 10 skeletons unlocks the ability to excavate mysterious fossils.
Players can sell ores to upgrade six categories: excavation range, energy capacity, inventory, jetpack, headlamp, and detector. This progression loop supports reaching deeper underground areas, and the game includes Japanese language support.
