WeirdCo has officially unveiled the first expansion for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, titled Edgerunners: Burn Bright. Following a successful Kickstarter campaign and global launch, this new set is scheduled to arrive in Spring 2027.
The expansion incorporates content from the Netflix anime series produced by CD PROJEKT RED and Studio TRIGGER. Players can expect to utilize iconic characters, weapons, and cyberware to build new crews or enhance existing ones, while collectors can look forward to vibrant artwork featuring special foil and textured treatments, alongside a forthcoming chase rarity.
WeirdCo Co-Founder Elliot Cook stated that the team aims to evolve the game both mechanically and artistically through this release. The company plans to reveal specific new card mechanics and artwork in the coming months via social media channels and tournament broadcasts on Twitch and YouTube.
Edgerunners: Burn Bright will be available in English and French at launch, with Chinese language support planned for the future. Local hobby stores will host pre-release tournaments one week prior to the official retail debut, allowing players to open packs and compete early.
