CD Projekt Red and animation studio Trigger have officially released Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. All ten episodes of this standalone series are currently available for global streaming exclusively on Netflix, arriving four years after the original production.
The new series introduces a fresh cast, focusing on the interconnected lives of a veteran edgerunner, a cinephile, a delinquent, and a netrunner. Directed by Kai Ikarashi, the show explores themes of vengeance and redemption within the violent landscape of Night City.
Coinciding with the show's launch, CD Projekt Red announced Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077, titled the Edgerunners 2 Update. Scheduled for release on October 22, 2026, this free content drop will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving later.
Players can expect new items and features inspired by the series. Comprehensive details and official patch notes are slated for release on October 21, 2026, during a dedicated REDstreams broadcast hosted on Twitch, YouTube, and Steam.
