CD Projekt Red has officially announced a complimentary update for Cyberpunk 2077, timed to align with the Netflix debut of the second season of the anime series Edgerunners.
The patch is scheduled for release on 22nd October for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms. CD Projekt Red confirmed that a version for the Switch 2 is expected to arrive shortly thereafter.
While specific details regarding the new features remain limited, the developer plans to host a livestream on 21st October at 5pm CEST to provide a comprehensive overview of the included content, which draws inspiration from the show.
This update follows the recent launch of Edgerunners season two, which IGN described as having a tremendous start. The ongoing collaboration between CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger aims to build upon the success of the original series, potentially further increasing game sales following the title's milestone of 40 million units sold earlier this year.
