Pearl Abyss has announced Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, a new expansion introducing naval exploration to the world of Pywel. The DLC is scheduled for release on October 29, 2026, at 3PM PT / 6PM ET.
The expansion introduces the Great Ocean of Pywel, allowing players to construct and customize vessels to reach new islands and establish strongholds. Players can also engage in underwater exploration to discover sunken ruins and resources, while the narrative continues the journeys of Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka.
New gameplay systems include business management, where players lease facilities and oversee operations, and a housing feature that permits structural customization of homes and liberated castles. Additionally, the update adds a romance and marriage system, alongside a Boss Gauntlet mode for players seeking combat challenges.
Pre-orders are currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Customers who pre-order the content will receive the Charter's Diving Set and the Charter's Light Diving Set as in-game bonuses.
