Key information

Landfall Games has announced the temporary closure of the Steam Workshop for its cooperative horror title, Content Warning. The developer took this action after discovering malicious content within the workshop, determining that a full shutdown is the safest measure while they investigate the situation.

Content Warning tasks players with infiltrating the Old World to film monsters and artifacts in hopes of creating viral footage. The game is currently available on PC via Steam, as well as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

As a precautionary measure, the studio is urging all players to delete any mods they have previously downloaded from the Steam Workshop. This step is intended to protect users while the team assesses the security risks identified in the community-created files.

The developer has not yet provided a date for when the Steam Workshop will reopen. Landfall Games stated that they intend to restore access as soon as possible once the investigation concludes.
