Bungie recently announced plans to restore previously removed Destiny 2 campaigns and content. While initial details were scarce, the studio is now preparing to provide a progress update regarding this unvaulting initiative.
Josh Deane, Bungie's head of product, stated that the studio will clarify its initial steps by the end of October. Rather than a traditional roadmap, the team intends to share a progress bar to track development milestones and maintain transparency regarding potential challenges.
According to a Forbes report, the restoration efforts will focus on past campaigns, raids, and destinations rather than expired live seasons. The report also noted that these efforts do not signify a return to active development for the title.
This initiative follows a final major update released in June, which marked the end of active development for the shooter-MMO. That update addressed long-standing issues and introduced new content, which reportedly helped reignite player interest.
