On October 21, Netmarble introduced a new update titled "Runaway Train with Broken Brakes" to the free-to-play action RPG Monster Guild: STAR DIVE. This update adds a new playable character named Chloe, alongside a dedicated event story and several limited-time activities for players.
Chloe is a five-star wind-attribute fighter who utilizes punches and kicks for rapid-fire attacks. According to her character lore, she was a renowned martial artist before the fall of the world of Nirvan. Players can explore her backstory in the new event story, "Path to Mend a Broken Heart," which runs for three weeks and offers rewards like summon tickets through missions and mini-games.
The update also includes combat balance adjustments for existing characters Estelle and Nagi. Estelle now gains super armor effects while inside smoke screens and receives buffs to her support skill damage. Nagi has been improved so that her presence in the party increases the attack power of other members when she is not the active character, and her ultimate skill now features a longer defense reduction duration.
Monster Guild: STAR DIVE is currently available on PC via the Netmarble Launcher and Epic Games Store, as well as on iOS and Android devices. Additional content, including a Halloween-themed event and a new seasonal costume for Estelle, is scheduled to arrive on October 28.
