AMD has officially released its Adrenalin 26.10.1 WHQL drivers, introducing support for AMD FSR Upscaling 4.1. This update extends compatibility to a range of hardware, specifically including the Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics products, as well as the Ryzen AI Max 300 and 400 Series processors, and the Ryzen AI 9 300 and 400 Series processors.
The release notes detail several known issues affecting various hardware configurations. Users may encounter stuttering in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Radeon RX 6000 series cards and above. Additionally, intermittent driver timeouts or application crashes are reported for titles such as Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on RX 7000 series hardware and War Thunder on RX 5000 series products.
Specific performance and stability concerns persist for newer hardware. On Radeon RX 9000 series graphics products, enabling AMD FSR can lead to application hangs in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, while switching applications with FSR Frame Generation enabled may cause system crashes. Furthermore, Valor Mortis players on RX 7000 series cards might experience driver timeouts or system shutdowns.
Other identified limitations include potential installation failures for AI Bundle components in regions with restricted access to HuggingFace and GitHub. Additionally, users on Windows 10 systems may find that AMD Smart Access Memory becomes disabled following the driver installation process.
