On October 15, 2026, developer Original Bird Bear released the "Kongtong Divine Might" update for Legend of Mortal. This major expansion introduces romance routes for Yu Zhu and Yu Xiaomei, alongside extensive new narrative content centered on the Kongtong Sect.
The update adds a pinball mini-game accessible via the Fourth Senior Brother. Players can earn rewards like the "Meixiang Qinggong" manual or character figurines based on their score. Additionally, combat mechanics now feature "Thought Battles" for the Sun Tzu's Art of War and Snowball manuals, plus a toggleable "Hero Mode" to adjust duel difficulty.
For romance routes, players should join the Iron Fist Sect for Yu Zhu or the Flying Sky Sect for Yu Xiaomei. Success requires careful management of fate points and specific event triggers, such as Yu Zhu's homecoming or Yu Xiaomei's dance events. Players are warned that certain choices, like failing to manage fate points or choosing the wrong dialogue during duels, can lead to bad endings.
Beyond new romances, the update enriches existing content with additional illustrations for senior brother flashbacks and new interactions with characters like Lan Shifu. These additions expand the game's lore, including details on the Flame Mountain blacksmiths and the Thousand Lantern Tower, providing a deeper experience for returning players.
