Shochiku Game Business Office and rokaplay select have announced the upcoming release of A Game About Digging A Hole Together. This cooperative multiplayer adventure is scheduled to launch on December 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The title will be priced at 700 yen and is also planned for inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass service.
Developed by Mipumi Games, this title serves as a sequel to A Game About Digging A Hole. Players use shovels to excavate gardens and extract minerals while upgrading their equipment. The new entry introduces multiplayer functionality, allowing up to four people to dig together. The developers have expanded upon the original gameplay by adding diverse terrain, new tools, and additional exploration elements.
The game supports cross-platform play, enabling users to collaborate regardless of their chosen hardware. Visual materials released for the project demonstrate the ability to dig large holes in beach environments, highlighting the expanded scope of the excavation mechanics compared to the previous installment.
