Australian developer House House has confirmed that its co-op puzzle adventure Big Walk will not be released on Xbox consoles. The studio stated that this decision is a direct result of its support for the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement, which identifies Microsoft and its gaming division as priority targets.

Big Walk, which launched earlier this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, has received significant critical praise. The title holds a 91 rating on Metacritic and was awarded a 9/10 by IGN, which highlighted the game's rewarding co-op mechanics, clever puzzle design, and the beauty of its vast open world.

House House acknowledged that excluding Xbox contradicts its goal of enabling groups of friends to play together. The studio expressed disappointment regarding the situation, noting that it understands the frustration felt by players who are unable to access the game on their preferred platform.

The developer indicated that the current restriction will remain in place indefinitely. House House stated that it will only consider bringing Big Walk to Xbox if Microsoft is removed from the list of BDS boycott targets. Microsoft has not yet provided a comment regarding the studio's stance.
