Developer and publisher Morefun Studios released a new trailer on October 15 for Roco Kingdom, an upcoming open-world monster-collecting RPG. Players assume the role of a student at a magic academy, exploring the vast Kalosia continent to capture and train creatures known as Jini.
The game features over 400 distinct Jini species that players can collect and utilize in PvP battles to climb the rankings. Beyond combat, the title incorporates life-simulation elements, including academy events and the ability to manage a home and cultivate crops.
Gameplay footage highlights diverse biomes and complex capture mechanics. Players must throw orbs to catch Jini, though some creatures may dodge or deflect them. The trailer also showcases a wide variety of Jini designs, ranging from cute creatures to muscular beings capable of slapping the player character.
Roco Kingdom is planned as a free-to-play title for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android. A closed beta test is scheduled to begin on October 27, with sign-ups currently open on the official website. The official release date remains to be announced.
