Developer Obb Studio released a significant update for the novel-based RPG Legend of Mortal on October 15. The game, set in 13th-century China, follows the protagonist Zhao Huo, a member of the Tang Sect who must navigate various challenges while developing his skills. This update marks the second major content release for the title.
The update introduces dedicated scenario routes for heroines Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu, allowing players to deepen relationships and reach new endings. Additionally, the developers implemented a high-difficulty setting called Hero Mode. This mode increases enemy strength and halves the damage dealt by the player, and it can be toggled on or off via the environment settings menu.
The release was originally scheduled for September 15 but was delayed by one month due to the sudden illness of several development team members. Beyond the new character paths, the patch includes various scenario adjustments and system refinements as detailed in the official Chinese patch notes.
A fan-made Japanese localization mod was updated on October 15 to support the new content. The translation team, led by Alpaca, operates with the author's permission. Legend of Mortal is currently available on PC via Steam, with a 10 percent discount reducing the price to 2070 yen until October 29.
