Independent developer Obb Studio has released the Kongtong Divine Might DLC for the wuxia RPG Legend of Mortal, updating the game to version 1.0.6000.0. This update introduces the long-awaited Mei and Zhu story arcs, alongside additional side quests and combat mechanics.
The update adds the Thought Battle skill to the Sun Tzu's Art of War and Snowball Tactics manuals, while introducing an Aggressiveness mechanic to the campaign system. A new Brave Mode allows players to balance enemy stats and gain a 50% damage reduction, facilitating a more story-focused experience. Furthermore, the developers implemented interface scaling, one-click forging, and alchemy features, alongside expanded favor inheritance options for characters like Rui Sheng and Shentu Long.
Simultaneously, the fan-led Japanese localization team released version 2.5 of their mod, which now supports the new DLC and includes an automatic update feature. The project received significant assistance from Kanata Yanagino, author of The Faraway Paladin. Yanagino stated that he reviewed the entire text, including the new content, to ensure consistency in dialogue and character speech patterns.
Legend of Mortal is currently available on Steam, where it is offered at a 10% discount from October 15 until October 29. Players encountering technical issues are encouraged to report them via the Steam discussion board or the official Discord server.
