The Spanish studio behind Aeterna Lucis has announced that a new, comprehensive demo for their upcoming metroidvania will be available during the Steam Next Fest. Players can access this trial starting October 19 at 19:00, providing an opportunity to explore the Tower of Light biome and challenge its initial boss before the game's official launch.
This version introduces significant gameplay refinements, including faster and more fluid character movement alongside a new light-based navigation system. Developers have also implemented real-time dynamic lighting to enhance the visual experience.
To accommodate different playstyles, the title features two distinct modes, Aeterna and Lucis. These options aim to balance the series' signature difficulty with a more accessible experience for various players.
The full game is scheduled for release on December 3 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The Steam Next Fest itself runs from October 19 to October 26, featuring a wide selection of other upcoming titles.
