Shueisha Games revealed during the ID@XBOX Showcase that the exploration-based action adventure title The Book of Endless Chapters will launch on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. The release will also support the Xbox Play Anywhere program, with a new promotional trailer now available for viewing.
The game tasks players with assuming the role of an editor trapped within a manuscript. Participants must navigate between a 2D manuscript world and a 3D mansion environment to uncover the truth behind a millennium-old story and guide the narrative toward its final conclusion.
Concurrent with the announcement, the Steam demo has received an update based on player feedback. Developers focused on refining character controls, specifically improving dodge responsiveness, adjusting movement distances during attacks, and reducing recovery animation times. Additionally, the user interface has undergone a complete redesign.
The title is currently slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and Steam. It will feature support for multiple languages, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Japanese, English, Korean, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
