New reports suggest that Grand Theft Auto 6 may arrive on PC during the first quarter of 2027. This information originates from a GamesBeat report, which has been cited by outlets including Eurogamer and Video Games Chronicle, citing four anonymous industry sources familiar with Rockstar Games' internal plans.
While the console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, the reported PC window would mean a significantly shorter wait for computer players compared to previous Rockstar titles. For instance, Grand Theft Auto 5 launched on PC nearly two years after its initial console debut, and Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on PC over a year after its console release.
Despite these reports, Rockstar Games has not officially announced a PC version or confirmed any release timeline. The developer did not respond to requests for comment regarding the GamesBeat report, and the status of the game's online component remains unconfirmed.
If the rumors prove accurate, players with access to both PC and console platforms will face a much narrower window to decide between purchasing the game at the initial console launch or waiting for the potential PC release.
