New reports indicate that Grand Theft Auto 6 could potentially launch on PC as early as the first quarter of 2027. According to a GamesBeat report cited by Eurogamer and Video Games Chronicle, four anonymous industry sources familiar with Rockstar's internal plans suggest a release window between January and March 2027.
This timeline would represent a significantly shorter wait for PC players compared to previous Rockstar titles. Grand Theft Auto 5 arrived on PC in April 2015, nearly two years after its initial console debut, while Red Dead Redemption 2 reached PC over a year after its October 2018 console release.
The console versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are currently scheduled for November 19, 2026. If the reported PC window holds true, the gap between the console and PC releases would be reduced to just a few months.
Rockstar has not officially announced a PC version or confirmed any release schedule. The studio did not respond to requests for comment regarding the report, and it remains unconfirmed if this potential release timing relates to the game's online component.
