CD Projekt Red has announced the Edgerunners 2 Update (2.5) for Cyberpunk 2077, scheduled for release on October 22nd. The update will be available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions arriving in the following days.
The update introduces significant gameplay additions, including the Clampdown side quest and a new guided tour mission narrated by Richard Night. Players can now dual-wield Power Pistols and Revolvers using the new Double Trouble perk. Additionally, the update adds a radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, and allows players to customize hand cyberware at Glamdoc locations.
Technical enhancements include cross-platform mod support via mod.io for PC, Mac, and consoles. Performance optimizations have been implemented for PlayStation 5 Pro and ray tracing. Furthermore, the update adds DLSS 4.5 support, an FOV slider for consoles, and updated AMD FSR options, though FSR 3 upscaling has been removed.
Additional content includes 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot cards, new clothing sets, and NPC hairstyles for V. While modded saves are now supported, CD Projekt Red notes that achievements cannot be earned on consoles using these files. Various bug fixes address quest progression issues and HDR rendering settings.
